We recommend that the Office of Volunteer Recruitment and Selection and the Office of Global Operations develop and implement a method to gather feedback from post staff on Volunteer performance and suitability for their assignments.
We recommend that the agency develop a method to accurately track posts’ trainee requests and measure its ability to meet those requests.
We recommend that the agency include the Office of Volunteer Recruitment and Selection in the new country entry decision-making process so it can assess availability of needed trainees and incorporate new trainee requests into its recruitment plans. Update MS 340 “Opening a Post” and new country entry assessment guidance accordingly.
